Source of Income Non-Discrimination

Under the New York City Human Rights Law, it is unlawful for real estate brokers, agents, landlords, and property owners to refuse, withhold, or otherwise discriminate against a prospective tenant based on their lawful source of income. Protected sources of income include, but are not limited to, housing assistance vouchers and subsidies such as CityFHEPS and FHEPS, Section 8, and other forms of lawful income such as child support or spousal maintenance.

Radcliffe Real Estate Group will not refuse a rental application, decline to show a property, or apply different terms to any prospective tenant because of their lawful source of income.

If you believe you have experienced source of income discrimination, you can contact the NYC Commission on Human Rights by calling 311 and asking for "Human Rights," by calling 212-416-0197, or at nyc.gov/cchr.
